Parts counter representative

The parts counter representative’s main role is to support any parts customers in a retail setting at a dealership that represents Kubota Tractor Corp in Raleigh, NC. We represent turf equipment, subcompact & compact tractors and a full line of compact construction equipment. As a parts coordinator you are to assist walk-in customers and dealer sales reps, service managers and technicians to help identify parts needed using OEM catalogs. We utilize a dealer business system to properly post, pull, order and ship parts orders. You will also help to unload freight, unpack incoming orders, process and receive orders including following up on any delayed/backordered parts to ensure all customers are served as accurately and quickly as possible.

Responsibilities Of Job

  • Greet and assist any and all customers that enter our dealership.
  • Answer questions, provide recommendations by using technical knowledge to recommend parts to perform services and repairs and any parts needs including upsales of our service department whenever possible.
  • Provide and follow up on price quotes as necessary.
  • Create, process, and maintain parts orders.
  • Parts inventory once per year, quarterly cycle counts and item inventory maintenance as you find discrepancies.
  • Maintain communications and relationships with customers and other dealership employees.
  • Expedite past due items through any means necessary.
  • Perform any housekeeping duties in and around our facility as needed.

Requirements

  • Automotive or machinery knowledge is a must.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • NC Drivers License is required. (will need to provide copy of record)
  • Experience in customer service.
  • Customer service skills for assisting customers and working with service technicians.
  • Strong attention to detail, proficiency in computer systems, problem-solving and time management.
  • Ability to collaborate and work with a team as well as to self-manage.
  • Basic computer skills for proficiency with inventory software and catalogs
  • Must be able to operator forklift and other equipment safely.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs safely.
  • Able to work Monday – Friday, Saturdays on a rotating schedule.
